Holiday

During the first two weeks of August we had a holiday in Accra. We were able to stay at the home of missionary friends who had gone on furlough. Other friends of ours were staying at the same house and together we had a wonderful time. We spent time at the beach, relaxed at the house and celebrated Samuel and Micah’s birthdays at a playground in Accra. Even though the children have a lot of space to play around the house in Yendi, there is nothing like a playground in the northern part of Ghana so this was a very exciting moment for them.

'playing in the paddling pool'

'diving in the sea'

'playing in the sand'

'the birthday celebrations - Samuel (4), Micah (2)'

'fun at the playground'

'with our friends'

After our two week break, we returned home to the north of Ghana and have started work again. Samuel will start school again on 8th September.

Thank God for:

  • The wonderful holiday we had
  • Good friends

Please pray for:

  • Unity in the churches - we continue to have a few problems among members
  • Our health - we still struggle a little bit with our health, especially Samuel who often has malaria
  • Protection and strength - we really do experience the fact that our 'struggle is not against flesh and blood'
